How a schooner tour in Paraty works
The schooners leave the Cais de Turismo, the tourist pier in the Historic Center, at 11 am and return in the late afternoon. At each stop the boat anchors so you can swim, float or go ashore on the tender. On board there are toilets, music and a bar with drinks and snacks (paid separately).
It is a relaxed tour for families with children, couples and groups of friends. You do not need to know how to swim: life jackets and floats are on board.
South route, north route or a private schooner?
- Schooner Aquamarina II, south route: Ilha dos Cocos, Praia da Lula, Lagoa Azul and Praia da Conceição, from 11 am to 4:30 pm, from R$ 115 per adult. It has the biggest triple slide on the pier and Starlink Wi-Fi.
- Schooner Poseidon, north route: quieter, less crowded beaches, from 11 am to 5 pm, from R$ 130 per adult.
- Private luxury schooner: the whole schooner for your family or group, with a tailor-made route and the option to spend the night on board, from R$ 4.000 per day.
Tips for the day
- Arrive at the Cais de Turismo 30 minutes before boarding to check in.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and cash or a card for the bar on board.
