Paraty was born from the Gold Trail and the Royal Road: the historic route where gold descended from the mountains to the sea. On this tour, you feel this heritage up close — among waterfalls with green waters, caiçara traditions, and artisanal flavors.

Along the way, we make a photo stop at the Cachaça Mill, a landmark at the beginning of the Gold Trail in the region, for you to capture the scenery and hear curiosities that bring the history to life before heading to the waterfalls.

The tour is done in a Toyota Bandeirante 4x4 Jeep, identified with the Paraty Sirena Tours logo. Includes a specialized local guide who accompanies the group at all stops. Pickup service available at inns and hotels in the central region of Paraty (within a 3km radius of the agency).

Itinerary

  1. Pick-up between 10:00 and 11:00 AM at your accommodation or agreed point (central Paraty area)
  2. 1st stop: Alambique Paratiana — artisanal cachaça tasting (optional, 18+)
  3. 2nd stop: Cachoeira Pedra Branca — refreshing bath amid the Atlantic Forest
  4. 3rd stop: Poço da Usina (former Uncia) — crystal-clear water pool to relax and swim
  5. 4th stop: Restaurante Poço do Tarzan — typical lunch by the river (not included)
  6. 5th stop: Pedra de Surf & Poço do Tarzan (1h40) — natural slide, free swimming, and jumps up to 4 meters
  7. 6th stop: Alambique Engenho D'Ouro — cachaça and liquor tasting + history of the Gold Trail
  8. 7th stop: Casa de Farinha — artisanal cassava flour process and caiçara culture
  9. 8th stop (optional): Queijaria Artesanal Santa Lola — cheeses, sweets, and mountain jellies
  10. Return in the late afternoon
